Yucaipa National All-Star Champions

Bret made it onto All-Stars this year for baseball. We were the Red team. They did really well and going into the championship they were undefeated! Those every day practices sure paid off!! We played against REV in the first game of the championship series. It was a tough game and we ended up losing the game. The other team though I have to say, I was not impressed with their "sportsman-like" conduct...or rather the lack of being nice. It was an intense game to say the least and I was nervous going into Saturday knowing we would have to face them again. Our little guys pulled through though and we ended up winning 8-5!!! Go Yucaipa National!!

It's officially Baseball Season!!!

Baseball season has started!! Officially it started last week but oh well.... I'm blogging about it this week haha :)

For National Little League, Bret had opening ceremonies last week AND and 8 AM game. Yeah um... let's just say I'm not a fan of the early games. Not a morning person so it was hard to even get up and go. I got stuck in charge of opening ceremonies and it was good. Last year, Chip Greene started a new award for Volunteers in the community that help with baseball. It's called the Lynn Thompson Volunteer award :) Chip gave a wonderful speech about my Dad and the service my Dad gave to the community and to the players. It was beautiful. I have it on video somewhere.. I will try to find it. Anyhow, last year LeAnn our next door neighbor and friend received the award. This year it was Bret's coach Greg Stuart. Greg has coached Bret now for three years and is amazing! He started coaching Bret when my Dad was already sick and so it was nice to have another father figure around to help Bret out with baseball. Greg and his wife Jamie came to the funeral and have always been there for Bret and for the rest of us. I absolutely love them!!!  I'm SO glad Bret was able to be on Greg's team again. Go Dodgers!!! (Don't worry I like both the Dodgers and the Angels lol).

Electronics on Spring Break....maybe not a good thing!!

Yeah they love each other... but not at the moment. It's spring break for them and they are off for two weeks!! I'm thinking that we are going to have to plan more outings besides a few days at Disneyland because they are driving me crazy and it's only day 2!!!! See all morning I've been dealing with a headache so the last thing I want to deal with is fighting. I think a schedule is going to have to be made because the electronics in this household are causing ALOT of issues. Bret wants to watch show while Chad wants to play a game then they both play together but then Bret gets upset because he doesn't win and wants the TV for a show again.... it's this cycle that repeats and I don't think I can handle 8 more days of this!!! It's a good thing we are going to Disneyland on Thursday or I might literally scream if I have to deal with this all week. The joys of being the Big Sister and watching them. Crazy!! I'll keep you posted on our happenings. We were thinking about a trip to Utah but with gas prices the way they are... that's probably not going to happen :( We'll see though. At least we have Disneyland passes so that will be fun to go down a few times. 

Anyhow, I will keep you posted on our Thompson Family Fun outings for Spring Break! I think I'm going to go make more cookies (not for me...for sisters in my ward!!) and maybe have Bret help me! Hope you all have a lovely day!!
